Samir Obaido was born in Amman, Jordan, where he received musical guidance from his father at an early age. He also received violin lessons from his uncle until the age of fourteen, then continued studying the violin for 5 years as an autodidact. Samir began his studies in the Barenboim-Said Akademie in 2015 and graduated in 2020, where he was artistically supervised by Axel Wilczok and Michael Barenboim.

He is currently a member of the renowned West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and plays in numerous chamber music ensembles.
