Voter Protection for the Florida Democratic Party
Sam Koplewicz is currently the Director of Voter Protection for the Florida Democratic Party. He recently served as the Deputy Finance Director for Secretary Shaun Donovan’s NYC mayoral campaign. In previous roles, he served as Oxfam’s Policy and Advocacy Adviser for the Syria Crisis, a researcher at Human Rights Watch in Beirut, an Election Monitor for NDI, and Florida Regional Voter Protection Director for Biden for President. Koplewicz has also supported a number of small local and international NGOs with fundraising and media work. In the summer of 2018, Koplewicz was a panelist on Disruption in Narrative of Migration at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation annual conference in Athens. He is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Koplewicz completed a Fulbright scholarship in Zagreb on the change in Croatia’s money laundering law enforcement as that country joined the EU and a Harvard Law Satter Fellowship at Human Rights Watch in Beirut advocating for the respect of International Humanitarian Law in the Syrian conflict. He has taught at Zagreb’s Faculty of Law. Koplewicz received his JD from Harvard Law School and his AB in Public Policy at Brown University.
