Assoc Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Aspasia Serdari is Associate Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Democritus University of Thrace and Director of the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis.
She has got the Medical Diploma of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed her PhD in Child Psychiatry at the Medical School of Democritus University. She has teaching duties in the Medical School, in the Departments of Educational Sciences and coordinates the “Child Psychiatry” section of the post graduate – MSc program “Social Psychiatry”.
She has clinical duties in the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis and the Child Guidance Social Center. As Head of the multidisciplinary team of the Department, she collaborates with other social services, the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education for the management of children and adolescents with special educational needs and forensic child psychiatry services, as well.
Her research focuses on neurodevelopmental disorders, behavioral problems in children with epilepsy, school bullying, assistive technology in education and mental health stigma in childhood. She has published her work in original research articles and book chapters and she is reviewer in research papers in International journals.
