Amanda Ryan-Smith (she/her) is a dynamic fundraiser with over 20 years of experience leading development efforts of nonprofit organizations both inside and outside of the LGBTQ movement. As Chief Development Officer at The Trevor Project, Amanda leads the strategic direction and overall management of fundraising operations at Trevor across individual, corporate, foundation, events and public funding sources. She has deep experience in coaching and managing teams, as well as significant expertise across all major parts of fundraising from major gifts and annual giving to government grants and development operations.
Prior to Trevor, Amanda was Senior Vice President of Development at Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, and previously led the development team for the National Center for Lesbian Rights. Amanda holds bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Psychology from Baylor University, as well as a master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. Amanda is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
