Fotini Velesiotou

She has a singular voice that is not easily described, deeply and directly resonant whether it is singing old laika classics or the songs that launched her career, like Melisses and Diodia. Fotini Velessiotou is coming for a concert that unites the old with the new, in her own unique way. Performing with her will be talented young singer Vassilis Prodromou, known for his tenure singing with Glykeria and for the film Eftychia, in which he sings two classic Greek songs.

Fotini Velessiotou is a special case in the world of music. Having started her career singing rebetika songs, she went on to collaborate with many important artists, including Giorgos Dalaras, Manolis Mitsias, Arleta, Eleonora Zouganeli, Haig Yazdjian, and Omar Faruk Tekbilek. She gained a reputation as an artist who brings good old laika and rebetika songs into the present, offering audiences genuine interpretation and authentic expression.
