Leonidas Kavakos & Enrico Pace
Summer Nostos Festival is honored to be hosting in GNO’s Stavros Niarchos Hall world top violinist Leonidas Kavakos with his distinguished partner Enrico Pace.
Leonidas Kavakos is an internationally acclaimed Greek violinist and conductor. Kavakos has recently been named as the winner of the distinguished Léonie Sonning Music Prize 2017, Having won prizes in international competitions from a young age, he distinguished himself with his unique technique, his expressive sound and the musicality of his performances. He has conducted famous orchestras while he has also recorded for some of the biggest labels.
Enrico Pace is an Italian pianist, composer and conductor. He studied piano with Franco Scala. He doesn’t only perform with orchestras as he regularly participates in festivals of chamber music, working with distinguished artists of the kind.
The program includes works by Janáček, Schubert, Debussy and Beethoven for violin and piano.
